William Bradford Huie was a writer/journalist from Hartselle, Alabama with a reputation for getting the truth, even if he had to pay for it. Some say he invented checkbook journalism. He wrote novels and sold stories to Hollywood. He wrote articles and stood up to bully, racist politicians. Film includes stories from Don Noble, Martha Huie and Wayne Greenhaw. Learn more about this courageous writer, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from The University of Alabama, who claimed he was in “the truth business.”
